Learned lots of things about the city that I didn’t know before and the cultural stories and food we got to try out really differentiated this tour to other ones we’ve been on elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

What stores will I visit on this tour? What will I eat on the tour?

We’d really rather surprise you, it takes too much of the fun out of the tour to tell you everything you’re eating. But if you insist, contact us. (stores subject to change at our discretion)

Can you accommodate my dietary restictions?

The tour can be made vegetarian. For any other restrictions, please ask as they may be accommodated on a case by case basis. Please mention any dietary restrictions in the ‘Dietary restrictions’ field when booking a tour.

Where does the tour begin and end?

The tour begins by Nathan Phillips Square, just out front of New City Hall, and ends just an 8 minute walk from where we start.

How do I get to the starting point? Is there parking?

By transit, it is a short walk between the Queen and St. Andrews subway stations. By car, there is paid municipal parking located across the street from the start location. This website on free parking in Toronto may be helpful, but we cannot comment on its reliability.

Are there any washrooms?

There are washrooms at multiple locations throughout the tour, including at the start and end point. Your guide can direct you to the best option.

How much walking and seating is on the tour?

This walking tour covers 3km in total, with up to 10 min of walking between food stops. Not all stops have spots to sit down. The tour is not recommended for people with mobility issues, and who cannot walk or stand for extended periods of time.

Will my child under 7 get to enjoy all the food on the tour too?

Kids under 7 are not given individual samples on the tour. If you would like to receive additional samples for children, you would need to book them as an adult with General Admission. You are more than welcome to share your samples with your little ones.

Is water available on the tour?

We highly recommend bringing your own reusable water bottle to keep yourself hydrated. If you choose not to, there are always plenty of options to purchase bottled water during the tour.

What is your cancellation policy?

We do not offer cancellations. However, emergencies do happen, and we permit rescheduling up to 24 hours before the tour due to illness. If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as you can!
